Overview
Anyone can create a Subtotal account. You sign up, tell us about your brand from inside the dashboard, and our team reviews the request. Your dashboard stays locked until the request is approved.Already work with a brand that uses Subtotal? Don’t sign up on your own: that creates a second, separate team. Ask an existing owner or admin on your team to invite you, and accept that invitation instead.
Creating your account
1
Create your account
Sign up at dashboard.subtotal.com/sign-up with your work email and a password, or continue with Google. You’ll be asked to name your team. Use your brand’s name, not your own or an internal nickname. It’s the brand your agreement with Subtotal covers.
2
Tell us about your brand
You’re prompted to submit an access request. Every field is required:
You can edit your request and resubmit as long as it’s still under review.
3
We review your request
Our team will review your request. The dashboard stays locked while it’s pending and shows its status.
4
Start your subscription
Once your request is approved, your dashboard shows a “start your subscription” prompt. Anyone on your team can start it and accept the agreement, so long as they add a payment method and have authority to sign for your brand. As the first member of your team you are its owner, so you can also invite the rest of your team, including other owners. See Team & Roles and Billing & Plans.
Invited to an existing team but looking at an empty onboarding form instead? You’re probably signed in with a different email. Sign out and sign in with the email the invitation was sent to: signing up with any other email creates a brand new team of your own.
